Spoke to birthmother today:)

Today was a great day. I spoke to birth mother. She had called on friday and we were playing phone tag this weekend, but she called me today. Everything is still on track for our little guy. She goes to doctor on september 4th for check up. Her and BF will be going to birthmother counselor along with Robbie and I on the 9th. So pray for us all that day. Things just seem to be falling into place. Robbie and I are off this week..(I work on friday, boo hoo) anyway we are stepping out on faith and painting the baby's room. A couple from our church GAVE us a convertible crib PRAISE GOD!!! Thank you Aaron and Kim:) love you bunches!!!

I have praise report my online yard sale has raised enough money for one hour of counseling for our birthparents. We are thrilled at that. If my camera and computer were cooperating better I could add a lot more stuff, but oh well in time I guess.
A prayer request is this I found out on friday that Robbie HAS to be out of town in Ohio on November 5 and 6th.....and november 6th is the little man's due date. This of course is her first baby and many people have said they go later either way pray that Robbie is here for MY sanity and the paper work:)
I know God will allow that. You should have seen all that He (God) brought us through with Rylie We should write a book:)
Thanks so much for all the prayers keep them coming...Also pray that we agree on a baby name or it will be "James Elmo" as Rylie calls him:)

trust in a sovereign God

Trust in a Sovereign God
References:-->Romans 9:20On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?
I once heard a pastor say that, on any given day, 90 percent of the families in his congregation are facing some challenge or crisis. As I have previously shared, such a crisis struck our own family when our 16-year-old son Samuel came down with muscular dystrophy.
Let me confess that I've come close to "talking back to God" over this and many other questions. After 26 years of trying to yield to Christ's rule, experiences of my own and others often leave me with many thorny questions that remain unanswered.
Why would God allow some children to be sexually molested?
Why do so many couples who want children find themselves infertile?
Why do some spouses who have every reason to remain faithful suddenly abandon their families?
I don't believe Scripture provides simple answers to these questions. But I do believe the passage above gives a strong overall answer that invites me to embrace the deepest hope and the strongest faith.
When the Bible asserts that God, the divine Potter, is in control, it raises for some the question of why He allows this or that to happen. But it also invites supreme confidence that, however tragic its effects, evil does not have the last word.
A loving God, who can assume sovereign control over the world, can also be trusted to overwhelm present evils.
In our own situation, a hint of how God's power can empower us to overcome tragedy came one evening when Samuel and I were driving home from the grocery store. We had been talking about his limitations due to MD. Samuel turned from gazing out the window, looked at me and said resolutely: "Well, Dad, I guess you don't need legs to serve God."
Prayer:
That God will give you the ability to trust Him in any situation.
Discuss: For what situations are you asking God, "Why?" Has He given you a reply?

Praise God he has answered prayers!!!!

Our friend that I mentioned in a previous blog only had 10% heart function and was on the vent with failing liver and kidneys and today by the grace of God he was extubated and talking....I kid you not it is a miracle. we are so overwhelmed tonight he even talked yes talked on the phone...He is still in ICU to watch his oxygen levels and to allow him to rest. Everything seems to have made a dramatic turn around....only GOD could have done this and we are thankful to him and also with Jonah Willard he remains in the hospital, but he is extubated and breathing on his own. Still on antiboitics but doing amazingly better:) He is a miracle in the making as well....God has been a busy man this week and been answering a lot of our prayers.
PRAISE GOD!!!

any one wanting to sale or give away?

We had a friend offer to give us a convertible crib. We are so thankful to them and apprciate everyone who tried to locate us one. We are looking for a few other items so if you know anyone that might have it forward the email to them please. We will be able to use Rylie's infant carrier and car seat in my car, however we will still need a car seat for Robbie's truck we only got one base for Rylie's carrier. We are looking for a convertible car seat also. Robbie has one for Rylie in his truck, and it is great because it holds from like 5 lbs to 40 or something like that. Also we are looking for a sit and stand stroller or joovy caboose. I like to go placed with Rylie and can only imagine how hard it will be with two little ones. This kind of stroller will(I believe) make Rylie feel like a big girl because she can stand or sit in the back and have a little more freedom. We went to a consignment sale and got a few items of clothes last week. I still have to go through Rylie's sleepers, but most of her stuff is girly, because we had our showers after she got home. So people mainly bought girly stuff...so if you know of anyone trying to get rid of some baby boy things also let me know (or any good consignment sales) . I am also looking for a infant carrier one that wraps around you, I didn't use one with Rylie, but feel it might make things easier having two of them. She is going through her terrible two stage and has lost her mind temporarily. I know it will all return in time.:)I have been looking on craigslist and ebay, but of course would rather buy from friends and family first:)Thanks

prayer requests

I write tonight with several urgent prayer request that have been on our hearts lately so Prayer warriors get ready.
We have a friend at church that is in critical condition at the hospital and we want to lift him and his family up in prayer. There is a lot going on with this situation and a lot of unanswered questions. Pray for all of those involved. Pray for healing and restoration of this man and his family
Pray over Troy's nephew Jonah who is 10 and in ICU with sepsis and pray that they find the source and he be healed.
Pray for a friend Lynsey who has an prayer that I can not list at this time but God knows what is going on in her life.
our small group had a lot of us participate in the cardboard testimonies and they impacted a lot of people. We are all thankful that God used our imperfections to show His love....however a lot of us are under attack my satan at this time for many different reasons from big to small...please lift all of us up in prayer...satan is scared and trying to pull out all the stops to divide and conquer...
God Bless
Love Billie, Robbie and Rylie

Spoke with Birthmom today!

Man it has been a good week for us as far as communication this week.... I spoke with BM again today. I called her to give her the address of birthmother counselor. She has an appointment with her on 9/9...so everyone lift her and BF up that night....she is still doing good..she is enjoying college...wanting to hurry up and have this baby "so she can move on with her life"....her next OB appointment is 9/4....continue to pray for the baby's health....Robbie and I are trying to come up with names right now at this time...outside of Rylie calling him "james elmo"....if baby "bruder" don't come out red and fuzzy she will be disappointed:)
BM still seems commited to us as we are to her....She says she does not want to see the baby at birth and wants to be moved off maternity area after he is born....so pray that all of this gets conveyed to the doctors and nurses so that her wishes will be carried out....I pray to God for His will to be done in this situation....We are stepping out in faith with this little guy and anxiously await his arrival...I can not say it enough that we serve an amazing God and that no matter what happens in her situation if this child is meant to be ours HE will deliver him to us....we want to thank you again for all of your support and prayers in this adoption.
Also pray for travel mercies for Robbie he leaves on Monday to go to california to do two presentations one for sherwin williams and one for GE (which by the way the BM's mother will be there and is the one to ask Robbie to speak there...yep you heard me right)....talking about a GOD thing huh:)...Thanks
we love you bunches..
love Robbie, Billie and Rylie
